Robert Schukai (Bob) is Executive Vice President, New Digital Infrastructure and Fintech at Mastercard.  He is responsible for the technical design, execution, and support of innovative open banking solutions, fintech solutions, and next generation technologies to support global payment and data capabilities.  He was previously the Senior Vice President of Identity Solutions for Mastercard, delivering platforms and services for consumer authentication and digital identity. 

Prior to his current role, Schukai was the Global Head of Design for Digital Identity Solutions and Head of Applied Innovation for Thomson Reuters. Focus areas included cognitive computing, financial technology, blockchain, user experience, and digital identity.

From 2005-2010, Schukai was the Vice President of Wireless/Broadband Technologies for Turner Broadcasting System, Inc.  During that time, he was responsible for global research and development activities in the areas of mobile/wireless, broadband, Internet protocol television (IPTV) and games.

Schukai spent eighteen years working for Motorola, Inc., in the United States and United Kingdom. In his last role at Motorola, he served as director of global 3G strategy and business development for Motorola, overseeing global strategy and business development activities for 3G handsets.

Schukai holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and a Masters degree in electrical engineering from Arizona State University. He is a long-term member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

In 2014, he was named a Member of the British Empire (MBE) in the Queen’s 2014 New Year Honours List for services to British trade and investment and for promotion of STEM education.

Suraj Kapa is a cardiac electrophysiologist at Mayo Clinic. He started on faculty at Mayo in 2013 after completing his internal medicine training at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN and cardiology and electrophysiology fellowships at the University of Pennsylvania. Over the course of his career he has published over 200 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters and given over 100 invited lectures nationally and internationally. He has been highly sought after for his views on the future of digital health, having spoken at CES, Webit, Exponential Medicine and for venture groups on behalf of Frost & Sullivan, at the Harvard Club, and in other venues. Over the course of his tenure at Mayo he has filed over 30 patents resulting in start-up companies related to non-invasive carbon beam ablation and artificial intelligence algorithms. In addition, he has been invited to serve as a strategic advisor both for his clinical expertise with companies such as Boston Scientific and Abbott as well as his digital and business expertise with companies such as Myant (a wearable sensor company), BioSig (a signal processing company for whom he helped develop the data science infrastructure), and TripleBlind (a data encryption company focused on financial AI algorithms). Academically, Dr. Kapa’s areas of expertise relate to complex ablation, particularly for ventricular tachycardia. He is a well-recognized expert in cardiology, serving on journal editorial boards and also as a vice-chair, author, or reviewer on several scientific consensus statements. In addition, his work on digital tools to address the COVID-19 pandemic has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Stat, and on CNBC. Currently, he also serves as the lead for innovation related to virtual (VR) and augmented (AR) reality at Mayo. In that capacity, he has led collaborative engagement with several companies, academic centers, and is helping lead development of new technologies.

Dr. Andrei Lapets, currently Chief Science Officer and a co-founder at Nth Party, Ltd., was formerly Associate Professor of the Practice in Computer Science at Boston University, where he also served as Director of Research Development at the Hariri Institute for Computing and Director of the Software and Application Innovation Lab.
